Remove your personal account while protecting organizations that still need an owner.

What account deletion changes
Deleting your account signs out your active sessions, removes your memberships and registered notification devices, and removes your personal account data. Messages that belong to a retained organization remain part of that team’s history with the deleted agent reference anonymized. This action does not delete other people’s organizations.
Check your organizations first
You cannot delete an account that still owns an active organization. Open each organization and either transfer ownership to an active member or delete the organization. An invitation alone does not transfer ownership: the successor must accept.
Delete the account
- Sign in and open Account from your profile in the sidebar.
- Choose Delete account.
- Read the impact and check which organizations still require action.
- Enter your current password and confirm the account deletion.
- After completion, your sessions are revoked and you return to sign-in.
If the request fails, the account is not shown as successfully deleted. Resolve any ownership warning or retry the request. Use password recovery first if you cannot authenticate; support will not ask you to send a password.
Data and retention
Account deletion and deletion of an organization are separate operations. Service backups and legally required records may follow a separate retention schedule; we do not promise instant physical erasure from every backup. See the privacy notice or contact us for a privacy request.
