Choose the right organization
Use the organization picker before making changes. Team membership applies to that organization, not every organization on your account. Owners and admins can manage team access within their permissions; ordinary agents cannot change the whole team.
Invite a teammate
- Open Team and choose Invite teammate.
- Enter the colleague’s email address and choose a role.
- Every member can access the organization inbox. Owners and admins also manage configuration.
- Send the invitation. The recipient signs in or creates an account using the invited email address and accepts the link.
Do not share an invitation publicly. An invitation is for its named recipient, not a reusable team signup URL.
Pending invitations
The invitation list distinguishes pending, accepted, revoked and expired invitations. Resend issues a new link and invalidates the previous one. Revoke prevents an unused link from being accepted. If a colleague cannot accept, check their signed-in email and ask them to use the most recent invitation.
Change access
Select an existing member to change their role. Remove a member when they no longer need access. Changes are enforced by the server and revoke affected realtime access; removing someone does not erase the organization’s conversation history.
Use the smallest role that fits the person’s work. To make someone the organization owner, use Transfer ownership, which requires their acceptance. Never leave an organization without an owner.
If you work with separate companies or clients, create another organization instead of mixing their team access.
